Setting up your emails on your iPhone

  1. Open Settings: Unlock your iPhone and navigate to the “Settings” app.
  2. Add Account:
    • Scroll down and tap on “Mail”.
    • Tap on “Accounts” and then “Add Account”.
  3. Choose Account Type:
    • Select “Other” at the bottom of the list.
  4. Add Mail Account:
    • Tap on “Add Mail Account”.
    • Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for the account.
    • Tap “Next”.
  5. Configure Incoming Mail Server:
    • Choose “IMAP”.
    • Under “Incoming Mail Server”, enter the IMAP server provided by your email provider (e.g., imap.example.com).
    • Enter your full email address as the username.
    • Enter your email account password.
    • Under “Outgoing Mail Server”, enter the SMTP server provided by your email provider (e.g., smtp.example.com).
    • Enter your full email address as the username.
    • Enter your email account password.
    • Tap “Next”.
  6. Configure Advanced Settings:
    • If necessary, you may need to adjust advanced settings.
    • Ensure that SSL is enabled for both incoming and outgoing servers.
    • Set the incoming server (IMAP) port to 993.
    • Set the outgoing server (SMTP) port to 587.
    • Tap “Save” or “Done” to save your settings.
  7. Verify Settings:
    • Your iPhone will attempt to verify the settings by connecting to the servers. If everything is entered correctly, you should see a confirmation message.
  8. Finish Setup:
    • Once the verification is successful, tap “Save” or “Done” to complete the setup process.
    • Your email account is now set up in the Mail app on your iPhone, and you can start sending and receiving emails.

Your IMAP email account is now set up on your iPhone’s Mail app, and you can start using it to send and receive emails. If you encounter any issues during the setup process, double-check your settings and consult your email provider’s documentation for assistance.
