A Weekend at Wolds Edge

This post is old. It may contain broken links, missing images and incorrect information.

Our new baby is due in a couple of weeks. Kindly, Megan’s parents offered to look after the other children whilst Megan and I spent a couple of days in un-interupted peace and quiet over last weekend.

Having spent some time looking for a nice place to stay and not finding anything which suited our taste, our budget and which was available, we stumbled across The Shepherd’s Hut at Wolds Edge, in Bishop Wilton, a few miles out of York.

We would highly recommend it – and no doubt their other, larger, lodges would be just as nice too!

The Shepherd’s Hut – small, but perfectly formed.  Providing all that you would need for a short break, with private shower room and washing up facilities just behind the adjacent trees!

Sunlight through the trees.  It was set in a wonderfully peaceful location, surrounded by trees and wildlife.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

So now we’re really into ‘count down’ mode – the baby’s due on 26th June, but the other 3 were all late, so we’re expecting it by the end of the month or early July.

And then there’ll be 4.
