Carbon Offsetting with COCO2

This post is old. It may contain broken links, missing images and incorrect information.

I’m pleased to announce that from August 2013, all of my websites and those hosted on my server are now ‘carbon neutral’.

Becoming carbon neutral is achieved through carbon offsetting – a method by which you can minimise your impact on the environment by offsetting the carbon output of services against initiatives such as tree planting or the building of wind farms, which take an equal amount of carbon back out of the atmosphere.

Dalby ForestThe scheme I’ve signed up with is run by COCO2 – click the link to find out more information about the organisation and its work.

It’s good to know that despite running a website server 24/7, requiring a constant carbon-generating power source, the environmental impact of this can be somewhat dealt with via green initiatives.

This is a Carbon Neutral website - you should COCO
